Visiting the Sagrada Familia: where to eat before or after?

Good restaurants near the Sagrada Familia

Visiting the Sagrada Familia, the masterpiece of Antoni Gaudí,

fills the mind and soul for eternity. But we poor mortals are also made of flesh and blood with weaknesses like hunger ...

Needless to say, the area of the Sagrada Familia is very touristy. And to avoid disappointment, we have selected some nearby places to dine, both cheap and pleasant, to discover alone or as a family.

Our favorite. Yes that is unfair, but at the moment we want exotic flavors. And what better to eat in a taqueria at good prices ?

La Taqueria - Restaurant

The first Taquería in Barcelona. Picante!

La Taquería - Barcelona

Next to the Sagrada Familia, the first Taquería of Barcelona awaits the Mexican cuisine's lovers.
A taquería is traditionally a place specialized in tacos.

This one does not derogate from the rule but with many other delicious surprises: nachos, frijoles, guacamole, sopa, quesos fundidos

The tacos are delicious (including the veg) the cocktails are diabolic and the end of the evenings are noisy and fun!

Lata-Barra - Restaurant

The perfect break next to Sagrada Familia

Lata-Barra - Barcelona

Just beside the Sagrada Familia, Lata-Barra is the most original tapas bar of the moment.

Like at Quimet & Quimet, the speciality of the place is to offer as tapas a selection of canned fish delicatessen (lata) of great quality: those of La belle-iloise (a very famous brand in Brittany in the north-west of France). What makes the difference there it is that each tapa (approximately 5 or 6€) is accompanied by various salads or tabbouleh which match perfectly together.

Also “ A la carte”, traditional tapas of Jabugo and other Spanish specialities and an excellent chart of wine (2.3€ /glass).

Unhoped-for in this district.
