Why buy the Barcelona City Pass?

  • The concept is very innovative. It is the first time that a city offers a formula that combines preferential skip-the-line tickets and accessible transportation, all online and by e-mail. We like the quick and practical aspects of the concept.
  • The choice of the two main must visit tourist attractions is a good idea: the Sagrada Familia and Park Güell are the two most popular monuments for visitors.

  • Discounts of 20% in other monuments, museums and places of interest are appreciable. The offer encompasses the important places that everyone should see.
  • However, you must visit these two places at least to be able to monetize the City Pass. If you also use to visit some other place with the offered discount, then it is really a must. Prepare your trip to Barcelona well to enjoy it
  • We recommend to buy it online as soon as possible. After your payment you will get an email where you can fill in the availability for the Sagrada Familia and Park Guell. Because these attractions have a lot of visitors they work with time slots to spread the amount of people (after your entrance you can stay as long as you want). When you buy it in advance we can guarantee more options in the availability.

No, Sagrada Familia doesn't allowed changes. The only way is buying another ticket.

  6. Seeking your recommendaton - Joan (18 Jun 2019 - 07:24)

We plan to spend a couple of days before a cruise and then again after a cruise out of Barcelona. Should we purchase a one day pass before the cruise and then again a one day after the cruise? We would rest and take it easy on the other days before and after the cruise.

I still do not understand the airport transfer. If we purchase a pass to use to and from the airport, is it only then good for that service? And then take a taxi to get around the city on the one day before and the one day after the cruise?

    Thank you!

    Have a great jouyrney!

  20. Hop on Hop off pass - Terry (31 May 2019 - 08:26)

Is the Hop on Hop off pass good for 24 hours or just the day you purchase it? We arrive on August 28 around 11 am, stay overnight in a hotel, and then get on a cruise on August 29 later in the afternoon. I'm not sure if a one-day pass would only be good for August 28 or if it would run August 28 from noon until August 29 at noon.

Also, what time do the busses run? What are the hours?

  36. Duration of the Pass & Sagrada Familia /Parc Guell - CTKN (3 May 2019 - 08:52)

Will be arriving BCN airport on 15/5 and leaving on 30/5. Will the pass be valid for any bus rides during this period and also both return aerobus tickets to and from BCN airport?
What are chances of getting entry tickets to Sagrada Familia and Parc Guell during 16 or 17/5/2019?
Hop On and Hop Off 1 day or 2 days different charges?
    Thanks

  37. @Tammi Mazz - Barcelona.com (2 May 2019 - 08:52)

    Hello Tammi Mazz,
The exhibit is called "Meet Vincent van Gogh" located in Port Vell in Barcelona, but city pass does not work with it.
    Regards,

  38. Carrieres de lumières - Tammi Mazz (2 May 2019 - 08:38)

Does the city pass work for entrance to the Van Gogh exhibit at Carrieres de Lumieres?

  39. @Jamie - Barcelona.com (25 Apr 2019 - 08:46)

    Hello Jamie,
hop-on hop-off buses run every day between 9am and 8pm (7pm in Winter) and run every 5 to 25 minutes.
The total duration of the routes is about 2 hours, 40 minutes for the green route for example.
The Green route runs from 23 March to 4 November 2019

    Have a good journey!

  40. Hop on bus - Jamie (25 Apr 2019 - 08:14)

What time bus the route start/finish?

  41. Aerobus - James (24 Apr 2019 - 19:04)

We will be arriving to Barcelona by train, but leaving from the airport. Will we still be able to use the Aerobus even though it will not be round trip?

  42. @Jim - Barcelona.com (23 Apr 2019 - 12:00)

    Hello Jim,
No problem Jim, for the airport the ticket is open, everyone in your group can use it whenever they want. Same thing for the bus, open ticket, you decide when to use it. Finally you will receive a link to the Sagrada Familia and the Parc Guell to decide for yourself the day and time of the visit. Lastly, the earlier you book, the more likely you are to find the right slots available. So yes, book as soon as you can.
    Enjoy your stay!

  43. City Pass - Jim (23 Apr 2019 - 11:46)

We have 8 people arriving at different times. First day airport to city centre. Second day - hop on hop off - 3rd day
Sagrada and Parc tours. Are there any issues in buying this 3 months in advance and how do you reserve the time for the Sagrada tour? Thanks Jim

  44. @Bill - Barcelona.com (20 Apr 2019 - 09:56)

    Hello Bill,
Good question, we'll ask and tell you. In any case, if your date is displayed, it means that the reservation is working.

  45. Time and date selection - Bill (20 Apr 2019 - 09:24)

How long from the date of arrival in Barcelona could I reserve my time and date for Sagrada familiar and parc Guelph.

  46. @June - Barcelona.com (19 Apr 2019 - 09:34)

    Hey June,
You don't need to buy the pass separately. In fact the city pass is a combination of different tickets from which you will receive the PDFs after purchase. You will then be able to distribute them to your friends. for Aerobus is open ticket you will be able to send as well to your friends.
    Have a good journey!

  47. Multiple city pass for separate parties arriving at different times - June (19 Apr 2019 - 09:10)

I have a party coming from a different country and joining me later in the city. Does that person need to buy the city pass separately in order to use the Aerobus at a different time? It would be my preference that I can buy all tickets together for the convenience of visiting Sagrada familia and Parc Guell. Thanks.

  48. @Gayle - Barcelona.com (17 Apr 2019 - 10:26)

    Hello Gayle,
For any tickets of the city pass you will receive by email a PDF. Of course you will be able to print these PDF if you do not want to use your smartphone. We wanted just to say- in description- that mobile tickets are also allowed.
    Have great visits of Barcelona!

  49. Barcelona City Pass - Gayle (17 Apr 2019 - 10:20)

Can I use print outs of all my City Pass tickets instead of having them scanned from my phone. I don't want to use my phone service if I don't have to.

  50. @Yogita - Barcelona.com (17 Apr 2019 - 10:12)

    Hello Yogita,
We advice you to buy the city pass as soon as you are sure to come to Barcelona.
Today for August is even better to be sure to find perfect time slots for Sagrada Familia and Park Guell visits!

Have a great stay in Barcelona,
