CSIO Barcelona is a prestigious international show jumping competition that hosts the final of the Longines FEI Jumping Nations Cup every year at the Real Club de Polo de Barcelona. The event combines top-level equestrian sport with family entertainment such as PoloPark.

"Brava Fest" The Patatas Bravas Festival from 2 to 4 October 2026

Barcelona's festival of the best patatas bravas returns for its third edition at the Poble Espanyol. Fourteen restaurants will serve their bravas along with another signature tapa. Live music, workshops, prize draws and other activities will also be on the programme. The highlight will be the selection of the best bravas by a professional jury and festival participants.

Every October, Barcelona celebrates La Rambla with the “Festes del Roser”, a colourful and authentic festival. During this week, the famous avenue, often crowded with tourists, takes on a more local and festive atmosphere. One of the highlights is undoubtedly the mushroom tasting at Mercat de la Boqueria. Swab Barcelona is an independent contemporary art fair founded in 2006, highlighting emerging and multidisciplinary practices in an intimate, human-scale atmosphere at the Textile Pavilion of Fira de Barcelona. Every autumn it brings together around sixty international galleries, offering innovative exhibitions, performances and a space dedicated to young talent through its Emerging, SEED and MyFAF programmes.

Barcelona Oktoberfest - Until 11 October 2026

Barcelona's Oktoberfest takes place at Fira Montjuïc, near Plaça Espanya. The Magic Fountain of Montjuïc

The Magic Fountain of Montjuïc (Font Màgica de Montjuïc) is a spectacular series of fountain displays located between Plaça d’Espanya and the Palau Nacional in Barcelona. A show of sound, light and water jets: the main fountain presents a synchronised display of colourful water jets, lights and music, attracting thousands of visitors every week. Created for the 1929 International Exhibition, it has become one of the city's most famous evening attractions.

The usual Magic Fountain opening hours are:

  • October: Thursday to Saturday, from 9:00 pm to 10:00 pm
  • November to March: Thursday to Saturday, from 8:00 pm to 9:00 pm

Each show lasts approximately 15 to 20 minutes and starts every 30 minutes. Admission is free and no ticket is required.
