Swab Barcelona from October 2 to 5, 2025

Swab Barcelona is an independent contemporary art fair founded in 2006, showcasing emerging and multidisciplinary practices in an intimate setting at the Textile Pavilion of Fira de Barcelona. Every autumn, around sixty international galleries gather to present innovative exhibitions, performances, and a dedicated space for young talent through its Emerging, SEED, and MyFAF programs.
Festí Fest 2025 - October 4 and 5, 2025

Festí Fest 2025 is Barcelona’s new gastronomic festival, held at the Antiga Fàbrica Estrella Damm. Organized by the ARA newspaper and Àpat, the festival will highlight ten restaurants offering a variety of delights, from Mexican tacos to Catalan tapas. The IRONMAN Calella‑Barcelona 2025 will take place on October 5, 2025 in Calella (near Barcelona), featuring the full triathlon (3.8 km swim, 180 km bike ride, 42.2 km run) on a fast Mediterranean coastal course.

Barcelona Oktoberfest – October 2 to 19, 2025

The Barcelona Oktoberfest takes place at Fira Montjuïc near Plaça Espanya. "Brava Fest" – Patatas Bravas Festival from October 4 to 6, 2025
The festival of the best patatas bravas in Barcelona returns for its third edition, from October 4 to 6 at Poble Espanyol. Fourteen restaurants will serve their signature bravas and another star tapa. Live music, workshops, raffles, and other activities await. The highlight will be the selection of the best bravas by a professional jury and festivalgoers.

Every October, Barcelona celebrates La Rambla with the “Festes del Roser,” a colorful and authentic festival. The Magic Fountain of Montjuïc: Spring and Summer
The Magic Fountain of Montjuïc (Font Màgica de Montjuïc) is a spectacular display of fountains located between Plaça d’Espanya and the Palau Nacional in Barcelona. Sound, light, and water show: the main fountain offers a synchronized show of colored water jets, lights, and music, attracting thousands of visitors each week. Created for the 1929 International Exhibition, it has become one of the city’s most iconic nighttime attractions.
Usual showtimes are:
- October: Thursday to Saturday, from 9:00 PM to 10:00 PM
- November to March: Thursday to Saturday, from 8:00 PM to 9:00 PM
Each show lasts approximately 15 to 20 minutes and starts every 30 minutes. Admission is free and no ticket is required.
