Every year in October, Barcelona celebrates La Rambla with the “Festes del Roser,” a colorful and authentic festival. Swab Barcelona from October 8 to 11, 2026
Swab Barcelona is an independent contemporary art fair, founded in 2006, that highlights emerging and multidisciplinary practices in a “human-scale” atmosphere at the Textile Pavilion of Fira de Barcelona. Every autumn, it brings together around sixty international galleries, offering innovative exhibitions, performances, and a space dedicated to young talents through its Emerging, SEED, and MyFAF programs.
Festí Fest
Festí Fest is Barcelona’s new gastronomic event, held at the Antiga Fàbrica Estrella Damm. Organized by the newspaper ARA and Àpat, this festival will showcase ten restaurants offering a variety of delights, from Mexican tacos to Catalan tapas. More than 40 stands featuring local products, workshops, fun activities, and a lively music program with renowned DJs will complete this gourmet celebration.

Barcelona Oktoberfest — Until October 11, 2026
Barcelona Oktoberfest takes place at Fira Montjuïc, near Plaça España. Inspired by the famous Bavarian festival, it features giant decorated tents, live Bavarian music bands, traditional German cuisine, and of course, liters of Paulaner beer. Admission is free, and VIP table reservations are available for making the most of the event. This friendly celebration is a must for beer lovers and fans of Bavarian culture in Barcelona.
“Brava Fest” — The Patatas Bravas Festival
The festival celebrating Barcelona’s best patatas bravas returns for its third edition at Poble Espanyol. Fourteen restaurants will offer their bravas along with another signature tapa. Live music, workshops, prize draws, and other activities are also on the program. The highlight will be the selection of the best bravas by a professional jury and by participants.

The Magic Fountains of Montjuïc
The Magic Fountains of Montjuïc (Font Màgica de Montjuïc) are a spectacular set of fountain displays located between Plaça d’Espanya and the Palau Nacional in Barcelona. A show of sound, lights, and water jets: the main fountain offers a synchronized display of colorful water jets, lights, and music, attracting thousands of visitors every week. Created for the 1929 International Exposition, they have become one of the city’s most famous night-time shows.
The usual Magic Fountain schedules are as follows:
- October: Thursday to Saturday, from 9:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
- November to March: Thursday to Saturday, from 8:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Each show lasts around 15 to 20 minutes and starts every 30 minutes. Admission is free and no ticket is required.
