Just a ten-minute walk from the Sagrada Família, Teòric Taverna Gastronòmica stands out for its deep commitment to the slow food philosophy. Far from being defined by its simple, uncluttered interior, this restaurant is a veritable ode to local produce, offering colourful dishes full of flavour, where each creation is like a work of art.

The carefully-crafted menu pays tribute to organic and local produce, in an effort to support a small community of local suppliers. This close link with the land is reflected in a varied offer, celebrating 'the sea and the mountains', but also in the special attention paid to vegetarian diets, for which the chef concocts tailor-made menus bursting with local produce.

Teòric slow food Catalan cuisine

The 'Menú Teòric Curt', priced at €47 per person, is a perfect example of this celebration of local flavours. Starting with appetisers like "Pèsols pernil i menta" (peas, ham and mint) or "Coca de bacallà tirabec i all negre" (seasonal toast with bacalao, snow peas and black garlic), every bite is a discovery. The main courses, such as 'Arròs de sípia galera i porc' (rice with squid, galley and pork) or 'Pop papada trinxat de la Cerdanya sobrassada i mel' (octopus, pork belly, trinxat de la Cerdanya with sobrassada and honey), are a wonderful blend of sea and mountain produce. Desserts such as "Maduixa vainilla i menta" (strawberries, vanilla and mint) or "Xocolata oli i sal" (chocolate, olive oil and salt) provide the perfect sweet ending to this tasty journey.

All in all, a vibrant tribute to the richness of Catalan produce!

    An explosion of vegan flavors

    As in many fields, the Catalans have a great imagination. Cooking, for many years, has been their favorite field of innovation. Fat Veggies renovates our vision of vegan cooking by using the barbecue, the smoker and of course the fermentation.

@Illy
Hello Illy, You're asking whether El Corte Inglés, a popular shopping mall in Barcelona, will be open tomorrow, Saturday, October 12th. Typically, El Corte Inglés follows regular shopping hours on Saturdays, but the specific date you've mentioned, October 12th, is Día de la Hispanidad (Spain's National Day), which is a public holiday. While many shops close on public holidays in Spain, El Corte Inglés in central locations like Plaça de Catalunya often remains open during such holidays, todya from 9am to 9pm. Best,

Hello CC, To travel from Sitges to Barcelona Airport (specifically Terminal 2), you can take a train but there is no direct train service. Here's how you can do it: Take the R2 Sud train from Sitges: This line runs directly to El Prat de Llobregat station. The train departs frequently from Sitges, and the trip to El Prat de Llobregat takes about 30-35 minutes. Transfer at El Prat de Llobregat: Once you arrive at this station, you need to switch to the R2 Nord train heading to Barcelona Airport (Aeroport T2). This is a short ride of around 6-7 minutes. The overall journey from Sitges to Terminal 2 at Barcelona Airport takes roughly 50-60 minutes, depending on wait times between connections. The trains are generally punctual and frequent, so it’s a convenient option. Best,
