free and it's well worth a visit.
A fine venue for free photo exhibitions on La Rambla, in a peaceful setting away from the hustle and bustle of this grand avenue. Whether you're a photography enthusiast or an amateur, it's well worth a visit.

simple and cool to visit
As I only had a day to visit, it was a simple and efficient way. Great air-conditioning on the lower floor of the bus. Well-organised and friendly welcome.

for the Gaudi buildings
For the Gaudi buildings but not for the shopping... very nice shops like everywhere else in the world, no interest.

impressed by this brilliant creator
As I learned more about Antoni Gaudí's life while visiting his works, I was deeply impressed by his devotion to architecture and his unique artistic vision. He was a passionate man who devoted his life to creating extraordinary buildings.

only a library
Not to be confused - as I was - with the architect Lluís Domènech's Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau, now known as Sant Pau Hospital or the Modernist Site of Sant Pau ;-) c

not to miss If you like Gaudi
The architecture of the Palais Güell is very distinctive, with a slightly Gothic atmosphere, but whether you like it or not, the visit is well worth the diversion. I recommend the audioguide (included in the price of admission) which, as well as being very well produced and comprehensive, is essential for understanding the history of the place and imagining the life of its inhabitants. Allow a good hour.

  2. salou - serena (16 May 2011 - 10:30)

    Gracias

Salou is without doubt one of my favourite resorts. Catalonia in itself is fantastic with amazing places and people but for the sheer fun of it Salou wins hands down. The shopping is great, the beaches are incredible, the restaurants are fabulous - especially the Quim Font on the front. I bring my family to Salou annually and we continually enjoy ourselves.
