Bambarol

Chef’s tapas !

Bambarol - Barcelona

Imagine two chefs, with professional records as long as their arms, to open a restaurant of tapas where one would like to come every day: It’s Bambarol.

Cirera and Firpo worked at best places like : Saüc, Bulli, Can Roca, Moo... For finally returning to their roots: a Mediterranean, Catalan and gastronomical cuisine as their mothers and grandmothers would have done it. But a cuisine revisited by 15 years of technique and voyages.

At the menu, cold or hot tapas of which we retain with emotion this day: a salmon marinated, the rice of the day, a fish ragout, a pot of lamb or an extraordinary sirloin. The carte changes according to the seasons and the products. Benefit from the 25€ menu which is dazzling.

It is far from the center, the gourmets will have to make an effort…

El Japonés Escondido

Eating Japanese as you would eat tapas.

Discover a hidden treasure not far from the Barceloneta metro station: El Japonés Escondido, the Izakaya Bar of the Tragaluz group, where Japanese tapas are in the spotlight. The warm decoration and charming Japanese-style atmosphere make this place an ideal place to enjoy exceptional gastronomy.

Share your food like tapas at El Japonés Escondido

Watching the sushiman prepare some of the dishes on the menu live, you can enjoy the variety of Japanese dishes on the menu at El Japonés Escondido, which stands out for the quality of its products and the careful presentation of each dish. Try delicious dishes such as grilled edamame or wok rock mussels. You can also enjoy dishes such as udon noodles with mushrooms (porcini mushrooms on this day) or Iberian ribs with sukiyaki. And since we eat and share each dish like tapas, try the sushi, the Nigiri moriwase or the Unagi Roll, among other specialities.

Restaurant

Can Framis

A beautiful place and very good tapas!

Can Framis - Barcelona

On the Ronda de Sant Pere, a 10-minute walk from the Picasso Museum, Can Framis by Casa Lolea is a gastronomic gem.

With its warm ambience and beautiful terrace, this tapas bar offers a perfect fusion of traditional tapas and culinary innovation. Dishes are enhanced by a touch of fresh greenery, bringing each bite to life. During my visit, I was particularly seduced by the salmon toast, with its unrivalled finesse, and the cod-filled pimientos, an explosion of flavors on the palate. And what about the tiramisu?  Recommended by an Italian waitress, it lived up to its reputation, smooth and creamy.

The wine recommendations are sound, and the white sangria is not to be missed.

In terms of price, expect to pay around €10 for the salmon toast and €8 for the pimientos. Ceviche at 17€ and a remarkable steak tartare at 14.50€.  Tiramisu, a sweet not to be missed, is available at 7.90€.

Can Framis Bistrot is a must for all gourmets visiting Barcelona.

Restaurant

El Xampanyet

Our favourite tapas bar, unchanging top!

El Xampanyet

El Xampanyet

El Xampanyet

El Xampanyet is the bar from El Born district that has been conserved as how real old bars in Barcelona were. It is from the 1929!

Easy to find.. just next to Picasso Museum

Its name come from the wine they serve there: a sparkling wine called Xampanyet.

As you know, Barcelona typical old bars where a place to spend time with friends having some tapas and drinking some beer and wine. So it's this place: tapas, cheeses, Jabugo ham and quite a lot of noise due to its small and crouded place, usually.

Excellent quality!!

You can't book, so don't be late!

Address : Carrer de Montcada, 22
Opening hours : Tuesday to Saturday from 12h - 16 h. and from 19h - 23:30 h. Sundays 12h - 16 h.
