Their opponents, Feyenoord Rotterdam, are one of the Netherlands’ most historic clubs. Barcelona and Feyenoord have met only rarely in European competition. Their last encounter came in the 1974/1975 European Cup.
The two teams faced each other in the second round: after a 0-0 draw in Rotterdam, Barça secured a 3-0 victory in the return leg in Barcelona. The European head-to-head record therefore favours the Catalans: one Barça victory and one draw, with three goals scored and none conceded.
