Is Park Güell Free or Paid?
The monumental zone of Park Güell requires a ticket for tourist visitors. This is the area you visit to explore the main spaces designed by Gaudí, and it requires a ticket with a specific time slot.
However, there is an adjacent forest area with free access, covering about 8 hectares. It allows visitors to stroll freely through the natural spaces around the park, but it does not replace the ticket required to visit the monumental part of Park Güell.
Residents of Barcelona and some local inhabitants also enjoy special conditions that allow them free access to the regulated area.
