Which way to go, depending on your group
The right mode depends on two things: how many of you there are, and how tight your park entry slot is. With four, a taxi costs about what the metro costs each; but on the road, the journey time depends on the traffic.

Allow 50 minutes between your two time slots. Entry to Park Güell is at the time printed on your ticket. The journey takes about 35 minutes, the climb included, and you still have to get out of the Sagrada Família. These tickets cannot be cancelled or refunded.
If your slot is tight, take the metro, even with four of you: it is the only mode whose duration does not depend on the traffic.

Visiting both monuments? There is a combined Sagrada Família + Park Güell ticket at 65.50 €, booked in one go. Bought separately it is 17.00 € for Park Güell and 107.10 € for fast-track Sagrada Família - so the bundle costs about ten euros more, which it earns back through 10% off your later bookings. Worth it if you plan roughly a hundred euros of other visits; for these two monuments alone, separate tickets stay cheaper.
By metro
The route, step by step
The metro leg never varies. What changes is the climb at the end: the park sits on a hill, and each of the three nearby stations approaches it differently. The route below goes via Vallcarca and its outdoor escalators.

One urban ticket covers the whole trip. The Vallcarca escalators have been working again since the 2024 renovation, but they do break down now and then: if they are out, go via Lesseps instead, whose Sant Josep de la Muntanya escalators also climb to the park.
