CaixaForum, the Cultural and Social centre of La Caixa’s Community Projects, is housed in what was once a factory.
Designed in the Art-Nouveau style by the architect Puig i Cadafalch, and it has become one of Barcelona’s most dynamic, active and lively cultural centres.

Through visits to the building, a gem of Barcelona’s industrial legacy, and to the exhibitions devoted to artists such as Dalí, Rodin, Freud, Turner, Fragonard, Hogarth and Cartier-Bresson, and thanks also to the concerts, lectures, literary events, multimedia art and many other activities put on there, CaixaForum has become a prominent beacon in the life of Barcelona.

Disgusting service
Estaba liderando un grupo de turistas y cometimos el error de elegir descansar en vuestra cafetería. El comportamiento de vuestro camarero fue inaceptable. Desde que nos sentamos fue brusco e impredecible, tirando y derramando los cafés que pedimos sobre las mesas, agitando su mano como un lunático para que retiráramos nuestros objetos personales de la mesa y cuando traía la cuenta y pedíamos pagar por separado empezó a gritar, insultarnos y chillar. Cuando pedí ver al jefe, su respuesta fue que no hay gerente y que somos groseros y "chillando". Su comportamiento es racista y es bullying, algo que es ilegal. Siguió así por más de 10 minutos, al punto que llamé a la policía y voy a hacer la denuncia oficial. ¿Así tratais a los turistas en vuestra ciudad? Esta persona es una vergüenza y debe ser expulsada de sus instalaciones inmediatamente. Personalmente, ya no recomendaré tu lugar a nadie.

    felicitar a la organizacion por la siempre excelente seleccion y presentacion de las obras de arte, fundamentalmente pintura y escultura por ser mis preferencias personales, pero este comentario es extensible a todas las disciplinas que aqui se recogen y promueven.

    especialmente, me parecen excelentes las exposiciones de henry moore, los principes etruscos, arte chino y, una maravilla, el renacimiento en prato.
