Transportation
Which transportation options are included?
The Barcelona Card includes unlimited public transportation for the entire duration of its validity within the area covered by the card.
| Metro | TMB Metro Network Included |
|---|---|
| Bus | TMB Bus included |
| Tram | TRAM network included |
| FGC | FGC included for trips covered by zone 1 |
| Rodalies | Rodalies de Catalunya trains included in zone 1 |
| Airport | L9S R2N Metro and train between Barcelona airport and the city included |
| Funicular | Montjuïc Funicular included |
| Not included | Aerobus, Montjuïc cable car, and night bus not included |
Don't confuse the Montjuïc funicular with the cable car. The funicular, departing from Paral·lel, is part of the TMB metro network: it's covered by the metro card. The cable car, which continues up to the castle, is operated separately and requires an additional ticket. Both follow the same ascent, hence the confusion.

Our Review
Is the Barcelona Card Worth It?
Starting from 39.00 €, the Barcelona Card becomes particularly appealing if you combine two uses: multiple cultural visits and extensive use of public transportation.
It is especially suitable for a stay of 2 to 5 days during which you plan to visit several included museums while using the metro, bus, or tram daily. Its value is less obvious if your main focus is visiting the Sagrada Família, Park Güell, and Gaudí's houses: these major landmarks are not part of the basic free entries.
If you're only looking for unlimited transportation, consider comparing it with the Hola Barcelona card. If your priority is to visit major art museums without time constraints, the Articket is worth comparing.
