La Selva, also known as the region of waters, it is the southernmost of Girona's regions and is characterised by its abundant water resources. The contrast between the salt and fresh water is at the heart of one of the region's most exceptional attractions: the Santa Clotilde, Pinya de Rosa and Marimurtra botanical gardens. But one cannot leave the Selva region without first discovering the magic of the castle and the Vila Vella or old quarter of Tossa de Mar.
