an IHG fan for life.

My husband and I recently had a 4-night stay in the city for a concert, and this hotel was a great choice due to its proximity to the stadiums and our loyalty to the IHG membership. Even amidst other Intercontinental Hotels we've stayed at across the world, this one was one of the best in Europe! The check-in staff, doormen, concierge and housekeeping were all efficient and friendly. Staff in the executive lounge were an even bigger highlight, especially the young lady on most evenings (name sadly forgotten). As an IHG member, we had complimentary access to the spa, making it a great retreat from the city's hustle and bustle. The rooftop bar also served great cocktails, with amazing weather that enabled us to get sun beds and lounge around the pool for a few hours each day. The only minor issue is that the rooftop bar closed earlier than advertised on two occasions, even when the weather was moderate and the hotel was bustling with concertgoers. All in all, it was a great experience, and even with its location slightly away from the main centre, walking everywhere was easy and we had no need for public transport. If we ever visit Barcelona again, we wouldn't hesitate to stay here again - IHG fan for life!

The good -: attractive interior, service was mostly positive. The bad -: wifi was unreliable, breakfast in the lounge was not hot, hash browns were too soft, etc. The suite I had was large but had limited natural light and a damp atmosphere. The pool area is quite small. I wouldn't recommend this hotel unless its proximity is what you are after.

We were greeted by an amazing entrance with stunning lighting. The room was extremely spacious, and the air conditioning was great. Even though it wasn't located in the heart of the city, there was quick and easy access to the metro station within 5 minutes, and buses were running frequently. The terrace bar and sun area on the 7th floor were great for taking in views of the city, and the bar on the ground floor was great. I would stay here again.

We had a peaceful and relaxing stay here. It was only a 16EU taxi drive from the port and the staff kindly helped us with an early check-in before 8am. The room was very spacious (500 SF approx.), and surprisingly quiet from the outside.? The bathroom was huge with a stand-up shower, toilet, and bathtub in separate areas.? The breakfast was outstanding, starting from 6:30am, while the room service dinner was simply delicious, with a scrumptious fish entree and Iberian ham.? The hotel is conveniently located close to many tourist sites, plus the concierge provided us with tickets for the hop on, hop off bus - only 8-minute walk away.? An elegant and luxurious hotel highly recommendable!?

We visited this hotel during a business trip which we extended for leisure purposes. ?? The concierge was very friendly when we arrived, even though we were too early to check in. ? We were able to change for our work in the spa and the manager was really helpful. ? The room was ready when we came back and it was spacious and comfortable, with an amazingly cozy bed! ? We had room service several times and it was always on time and delicious. ?? On our last day, my husband and I booked a couple massage, which was one of the best we have ever had! ??‍♀️ The therapists were excellent. ?

However, there were some things that could have been better: there was a miscommunication on the rooftop bar's timings; the spa had broken water features and some tiles were lose at the bottom of the pool; the doorbells are quite loud, so we were woken up at early hours; and one of the guests was smoking weed at 2 AM and there was no apology or follow up from the staff. ?
