This hotel is conveniently located near the shopping area of Barcelona. The staff at reception were extremely polite, hospitable, accommodating and quick. My room was cozy and spacious with spotless cleanliness. Breakfast selection was very delicious. We are looking forward to returning to the same hotel next year.
The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The location was great, with many tourist places nearby. The rooms were modern, clean and comfortable. My friend was upgraded to a room with a terrace and a cool shower that we weren't expecting. The bed was nice and the WiFi was good. Our stay here was definitely enjoyable! They even served breakfast until noon which was a nice touch.
In November of 2022 I booked a cruise from Lisbon to Barcelona. Since we needed a place to stay in Barcelona for two days I watch the YouTube videos and found out that the best area is the Passeig de Gracia. I looked online and found a hotel that looked perfect. My sister and I arrived at 7:40 AM on 15 May 2023 for a two night stay and our room was already available. I had booked a junior suite and it was fantastic. If you and your spouse are looking for a romantic place to stay this would be it since our room had a large free standing ceramic tub, a waterfall shower, a large comfortable bed, and a private balcony which still gave you a view of the skyline. The room had a mini bar, a safe, two robes, large comfortable seating area, and an assortment of extra necessities, e.g., nail polish remover, shoe polish soaps, etc. The buffet breakfast was absolutely fantastic and a pure delight. There was a coffee machine which made at least five different types of coffees and an assortment of three different size cups. The buffer had things like yogurt, sliced fresh fruit, assortment of meats, special treat of the day, hot entrées, such as eggs and beans, sausages, a variety of additives for your coffee or tea, cereal, along with absolutely delicious, pastries. The location of the accommodation was the best! We were near to metro stops, the hop on hop off bus was right around the corner at the Placa de Cataluna. We were a 10 minute walk from the Mercad St Joseph’s Bouqueria on the Rambla. You have got to see this market. The fruit was delicious and I wish that we did not have plans for dinner because I would have been chowing down. I cannot say enough things about the hotel staff. I wish I knew the name of the gentleman who checked us in. He made us feel immediately comfortable and answered all our questions. We asked how long it took to get to the airport and he stated to just let them know when we wanted to leave and they would call us a taxi and have it waiting for us. Cecilia was at the front desk in the evening and provided an excellent recommendation to eat at Celler Cala de Vermut which a small hole-in-the-wall tapas place run by a very nice older woman. Roblan was very gracious and friendly at the hotel breakfast buffet. He let us know that the buffet was open until 12 but the coffee machine was available every day until 6 pm. He made us smile each morning. Last but not least I found the price extremely affordable in comparison with a similar accommodation located in the center of a bustling US city. The boutique hotel made my first stay in Barcelona a very happy memorable event.
Staying at Room Mate Pau was a fantastic experience. The hotel is exceptionally located next to Las Ramblas, with lots of bars and restaurants in close proximity. We got the suite, which came with a huge, comfy bed, a terrace with amazing views of Barcelona, and a jacuzzi - perfect for those chilly evenings. The room was immaculately clean, with all the amenities you could wish for, plus a spacious bathroom. However, what really made our stay so enjoyable was the exceptional service provided by the staff - Alex and his colleagues at reception, as well as the breakfast staff. They went out of their way to help, giving us recommendations for restaurants that were all excellent. On top of that, they even surprised us with balloons and champagne when we celebrated my partner's 50th - truly magnificent. We had a wonderful vacation and would definitely stay here again.
Not much can be done about that.
This hotel is located in a great location, close to Pl. Catalunya and only a few feet away from the airport bus. It also has good access to both buses and trains. The room is very spacious, however the furnishing is quite peculiar. There is a strange built-in table/seat at the end of the bed that is rather narrow and quite uncomfortable, as it provides no legroom and you're sitting on a wooden surface with no cushion. It's a case of style over function, which would be much better if they just put a desk and chair against the wall/TV as a regular hotel would. The windows are also quite thin, so I was able to clearly hear people outside talking on the second floor. Unfortunately, there isn't much that can be done about that.
