My recent stay at the Praktik Rambla Hotel in Barcelona was anything but enjoyable. Unfortunately, our experience was marred by an incident that still haunts us to this day - someone broke into our room while we were sleeping. Despite this traumatic event, the hotel director showed no empathy or accountability. I was initially hesitant about the hotel's architecture as our room was located on the first floor, with access to the communal terrace. But I never imagined that this would result in someone breaking in.

Upon checking in, everything seemed fine. However, on the second and final night of our stay, we returned to our room to find our travel bags missing. It was then that we noticed the bathroom window was open. Upon further inspection, we realized that someone had been in our room while we were sleeping and had gone through our belongings. We were both shaken and felt grateful that we had locked a second sliding door that we initially thought was for blocking out light. We later realized it was for our safety.

In a state of panic, I went to the reception to report the incident. The staff, particularly Sandra, were sympathetic and tried to help. However, when the hotel director was informed, his lack of empathy and accountability was shocking. He simply told us to pack our things, file a police report, and said there was nothing he could do. No apology, no reassurance, and no solutions were offered.

The severity of what could have happened and the hotel's lack of ownership left us feeling unsafe and frustrated. When we went back to the reception, they told us that without a police report, there was nothing they could do. We were told to go to the police station at the airport as we had a flight to catch. Upon our return, we asked for updates and camera footage, but were met with a lack of information and indifference.

I was shocked to see the hotel director laughing and joking around with other guests like it was a normal day. When we asked for updates, he casually mentioned that someone had jumped into our room from a side building. This lack of concern and unwillingness to take responsibility for the incident was appalling. He even had the audacity to accuse us of leaving the window open and refused to offer a solution.

After much insistence, we were finally given a full refund. However, the way we were treated by the hotel director left a lasting impact on us. As someone who travels often for work, I can confidently say that this was the worst treatment I have ever received at a hotel. I urge others to avoid staying at the Praktik Rambla and choose other options in Barcelona. Nothing can justify the way we were treated and I do not feel safe returning to this hotel.

I was quite dissatisfied with my recent trip as I was unable to get any productive work done at the hotel. Despite requesting a room with a desk and chair, I was given a double room with no suitable workspace. To make matters worse, the room had a small window facing a dull back corridor with a view of air-conditioners. Despite my attempts to change rooms, I was informed that there were no other options available. The breakfast offered was subpar, consisting of only croissants, juice, and coffee from a basic pantry lounge. Adding to the disappointment, the television channels were not functioning properly, and the small attached TV was placed haphazardly behind a cabinet. While the hotel may have a charming historic vibe, the overall experience was not worth the money spent due to the lack of quality rooms. I strongly advise against staying here and suggest considering alternative options, such as the hotel across the street. Personally, I will not be returning to this establishment.

My experience at the Praktik Rambla Hotel was absolutely delightful. Despite staying in a basic room, it was still perfect for our 2-night stay in Barcelona. The size may have been small, but it was more than enough for us. The highlight was definitely the amazing shower, and the beds were also very comfortable. The entire hotel was tastefully decorated, creating a beautiful atmosphere. What really impressed me was the complimentary tea and coffee station downstairs, along with free croissants in the morning. It was such a thoughtful touch. We enjoyed our morning coffee and pastries in the stunning outdoor seating area, which felt like a hidden oasis. The hotel's location is superb, with a variety of restaurants nearby. The staff at check-in and check-out were also extremely kind and helpful. Overall, I had a fantastic stay and would highly recommend the Praktik Rambla Hotel to anyone visiting Barcelona.

I spent a long time looking for a hotel that had both Barcelona charm at a reasonable cost and the perfect location, and I'm so happy I ended up here! The check-in was smooth and the receptionist gave us helpful directions. They offer free coffee and croissants from 8-11 and 24/7 reception. Our room towards the back was huge with two separate AC units and a safe, plus the bed was really comfortable, although it was two twins pushed together to make a queen. The bathroom was nice too but the room wasn't the brightest and had a bit of a smell. Cleaning service was great, and they quickly brought us extra toilet paper when requested. The location is amazing, right on Ramblas street, so close to so many restaurants, shops, and attractions. We took a pricey taxi to the airport on our way out, but it was convenient. We had a great stay here and I highly recommend it!
