Ideal to discover Barcelona by walking..
Just steps away from Plaça de Catalunya and Las Ramblas Hotel Jazz is a three-star well appreciated for its comfort, cleanliness and friendliness of its staff.
We can add to that its location is simply ideal for a visitor who wishes to discover Barcelona by walking. You are indeed at the heart of the city, close to the most famous districts such as the Eixample, Raval and the Gothic Quarter.Three stars does not mean being without personality, it is there the opposite with its simple rooms but very cheerful, its decoration dominated by wood and sophisticated lighting. Jazzy & Chill Out Atmosphere on all floors and in particular in its lounge bar and even more on its gorgeous pool terrace where you can enjoy a panoramic view of Barcelona and where you can enjoy wonderful cocktails and tapas. The Jazz hotel is part of the hotel group « Núñez i Navarro Hotels » which is in Spain and especially in Barcelona a guarantee of quality. This group notably includes Hotel 1898 or the Soho Barcelona. Parking, WiFi, room service until 22: 30 are part of the small details that make all the difference at Jazz Hotel!
The room was not up to our expectations as it was quite noisy due to the outside noise. We attempted to change our room but unfortunately, the hotel staff did not assist us. However, the location was impeccable as it was situated right on La Rambla Street. Additionally, it was conveniently close to the metro station and bus stop.
During my recent stay in Barcelona, I encountered some issues at the hotel. The shower shelf was in disrepair and could have caused harm if it fell. Additionally, the bathroom lighting was extremely dim. However, the hotel's location was excellent. Unfortunately, the receptionist was not very helpful when we asked for directions to Park Guell. They directed us to a path that was under construction, causing us to waste a lot of time walking up a hill only to discover we needed tickets. As a result, we were unable to visit the park as planned.
The hotel boasts an unbeatable location in the heart of Barcelona. The staff at the front desk were extremely accommodating, providing us with great suggestions for nearby restaurants within walking distance. The surrounding neighborhood is perfect for leisurely strolls. The pool was a nice spot to relax and take in the views. We were a bit disappointed to find that the bar food menu was not available during our stay. It looked so tempting that we opted not to have a drink in order to eat instead. The room was impressive in terms of both size and cleanliness. We would definitely consider staying here again.
During our trip to Barcelona in September 2023, my two friends and I stumbled upon a great spot for lunch while exploring the city. Unfortunately, one of our friends had an accident and ended up in the hospital for 12 hours. Her family rushed to be by her side the following day, and thankfully she is now doing well. Despite the stressful situation, the staff at the hotel where we were staying showed us immense kindness, support, and assistance. The bartender even went out of their way to personally deliver dinner to our friend's room. From the front desk to the housekeeping staff, every member of the team was unbelievably caring and helpful. We are truly thankful for all the help and compassion we received, and we will never forget our experience. If anyone is looking for a clean and well-located place to stay in Barcelona, I highly recommend this hotel. As the saying goes, "a hotel is only as good as its staff," and this hotel definitely has the best team. Thank you again for everything!
During our recent trip to Barcelona, we chose to revisit the hotel where we had previously stayed in 2022. For our 4-day stay from October 30th to November 3rd, we were once again impressed with the hotel's service. Our main purpose was attending a Madonna concert at Palau Sant Jordi on November 1st, and we ended up walking a total of 26 miles over our stay.
After an early flight from the UK, we arrived at the hotel well before check-in time. However, the staff at the reception were friendly and accommodating, allowing us to check-in, unpack, and head out to La Rambla in the early afternoon. The hotel's convenient location was perfect for exploring the city on foot, using the nearby Aerobus to get to and from the airport, and using the metro. We highly recommend starting your day with breakfast on the first floor. Unfortunately, the windy weather prevented us from taking advantage of the pool and rooftop bar, which we had enjoyed during our previous stay in late October.
We were pleased to see that all staff at the hotel were welcoming and personable, making our stay even more enjoyable. Our room, located at the back of the hotel (room 602), was both spacious and immaculately clean. We were also pleased to find tea and coffee making facilities in our room, which were replenished daily. The only downside was a slight noise from the nearby metro, but it did not take away from our overall positive experience. The air conditioning in the room worked perfectly, providing both heating and cooling options. The only minor issue I had was that as someone with back and neck issues, I found the mattress to be a bit too firm for my liking. Nevertheless, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel and would highly recommend it.
