Hotel Rec Barcelona - Adults Only
Kris W. Hills ( Florida )
This was my third visit to the hotel and, once again, I had a wonderful experience. The service was exceptional, with Aleix providing great assistance during check-in and Param being incredibly friendly at checkout. The breakfast options were plentiful and delicious. The rooms were both clean and practical, making for a comfortable stay. The hotel's location was ideal, as it was conveniently located near the Arch de Triomf.
I had the pleasure of staying at a lovely adults-only hotel in Barcelona during my recent trip. The location was unbeatable, right next to the Arch of Triumph. The service was top-notch and the rooms were surprisingly spacious. The breakfast selection was excellent, with a good variety of healthy options. The rooftop views were simply breathtaking. Although the pool area was a bit chilly in November, it was still a nice touch. I am already looking forward to a return visit.
💔 The hotel staff were not the friendliest during our stay. They seemed to be doing us a favor instead of providing a service. It left us feeling unwelcome and uncomfortable. 😞 However, at checkout the staff was very kind and made up for the previous unpleasant encounters. Overall, a mixed experience.
This accommodation is situated in an ideal spot and offers all the amenities you could ask for at a reasonable price. The rooftop area is also a delightful place to relax and take in the sights. Furthermore, the complimentary cava bottle for my birthday was a lovely gesture that exemplifies the hospitality of this establishment.
The rooms were definitely unique with an all-in-one shower and en-suite, although the toilet did have a door. The mirror conveniently slid across the shower for added privacy. However, I wouldn't recommend this hotel for friends or acquaintances, as the lack of separate toilet may be uncomfortable. The bed was quite large and comfortable, although I would have preferred a smaller bed and easier access to the wardrobe. The location was great and the staff were very helpful. Just be aware of the high city tax in Barcelona - we paid a steep 57.82 Euros for a week. Make sure to factor this in if you're on a budget.
