Top Tapas Restaurants in Barcelona

Top Tapas Restaurants in Barcelona

Tapas are little appetizers, or snacks, in Spanish cuisine.

A true institution in Barcelona: the occasion to meet friends at any hour of the day!

As Barcelona is creative and traditional at the same time, you will find in this selection very “modern” cuisine tapas and absolutely delicious traditional tapas..

According to the appetite, one can order a complete ration: una ración, a half ration: una media ración, or a simple tapa (small mouthful) many of them have a pincho or toothpick through them.

This is our selection of top tapas restaurants in Barcelona

Zona d'Ombra - Shop

In search of Catalan wines..

Zona d'Ombra - Barcelona

At Zona d'Ombra it's a real treat to discover ecological wines of exclusive producers and sublime quality tapas. This wine bar (enoteca) is one of the references of Barcelona for the Catalan wines. Cordial and greedy mood. You can discover wines by the glass or even to buy a bottle with the possibility of corkage service.

You will appreciate also generous tapas (Tabla de Ibéricos, Tabla de queso, Tabla de ahumados, carpaccio de buey, croqueton de Bacalao, de setas..).
The owner likes gadgets and will show you how to serve wine from a bottle without removing its cork!
Another miracle of this excellent wine bar.

He carried out his dream, to take again the family butchery to do a tapas restaurant where are honored his grandmother's receipts.  At Pollería Fontana they don't trifle with Tradition!

In a friendly spirit and a lot of pride one can taste today traditional receipts such as Russian salad of ventresca of tuna, the chicken or potato croquettes. Juanita Lalá - Restaurant

"Food and Boom"

Juanita Lalá - Barcelona

In the large building which borders the harbor of Barcelona, Juanita Lalá is magnificiently located between El Born and the Barceloneta.

This restaurant is not a chiringuito but is largely inspired by: large terrace always crowdy, music, Dj's and restoration for youngsters which learnedly mixes - regressive and amusing -  dishes like:  hamburgers, tacos, guacamole, ceviche, nachos, ensaladas, gambas, calamares, tapas. We are well in Barcelona, this city which mixes briskly exotic and tradition.  The cocktails are not forgotten, quite to the contrary. Taste the mojito with mango to see.

Opened every day Juanita Lalá is a really ideal place to dine and dance: food and boom!!

Address : Plaça Pau Vila, 1

Lata-berna - Restaurant

Creative tapas at sweet prices!

Lata-berna - Barcelona

Impassioned by the world cuisine chef Juanjo Martinez does not miss audacity. Its Lata-berna restaurant is one of the new institutions of creative tapas in Barcelona. The former chef of the Arts hotel does not like anything more than to mix Mediterranean savours with those of Asia and India.

Textures, colors and emotions are thus a la carte of this very cordial place where the chief is always present and where the prices are always reasonable: one tapa with a beer is 2.5€, a menu without drink is 9€ and for greedier tapas count between 15 and 30€/pers.

A real treat!

Address : 53, Torrent de les Flors
Opening hours : Tuesday - Sunday from 1pm-midnight.
Phone : 931 93 02 88
Metro/Bus : Verdaguer (M: L2, L5)

Matís Bar - Restaurant

Tapas, talent, slow good…

Follow the B: We recommend this place

Matís Bar - Barcelona

In a few months Matís Bar became the idol of Barcelona. Its receipt: revisited tapas, a magical place and an ultra welcoming team!

For people of Matís Bar the place is as important as the table. To look like their cuisine they settled at the "Col·legi d’Arquitectes".. For Artur Martínez the young Michelin spangled chef (Capritx) this new adventure is the occasion to reinvent the Catalan cuisine and tapas, because both are at the menu. One retains the "Bombon de queso y tomate" (1.85€), the "Salpiconde pulpo"(7.85€), the "Carpaccio de bacalao" (7.5€), and the Arroz Parellada (8.5€). Real delights.

But the ultimate experience is to take the tasting menu, the "Menu Pim Pam" (25€/per - but for two people minimum). A very reasonable price for a journey in the very contemporary universe of the slow food, the km 0, the ultra healthy products and of an unparalleled knack!
Clever is one who reserves !

Address : Pl. Nova, 5 (Col·legi d’Arquitectes de Catalunya)
Opening hours : From monday to saturday from 8am to 12pm
Phone : +34630455043
Metro/Bus : Jaume I

Effectivement à Barcelone aussi les tapas sont excellentes. Je pensais que c'était plus une spécialité de l'Andalousie mais c'est finalement partout délicieux en Espagne. Bref ne rater pas ces petits repas sublimes et pas chers (normalement)..
