Barcelona Granvia Plaza Espana, an IHG Hotel

👍I had a wonderful stay at a hotel in Barcelona! The location was 🎉 and 🎯, right at Plaza Espana and close to the airport and metro. The ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ staff were always friendly and helpful. Our room was recently renovated and looked so 🌺. The 🍳 breakfast had lots of options, including 🥛 lactose-free milk made to order. The laundry service was 💯 and while a bit pricey, it was worth it. We had no issues leaving our bags after check-out. We loved it so much, we 📝 our next stay here.

The main selling point of this hotel is its location. While it is a decent establishment, the room rates seem to be based on the prime spot. Our initial room reeked of smoke, but the second one we were given was an improvement. The rooms are on the smaller side, with limited bathroom space and inadequate shower amenities (our shower head dripped constantly and the water temperature fluctuated between freezing and scalding). However, the beds were comfortable and a complimentary bottle of water was provided daily. The breakfast spread was one of the better ones we experienced during our 8 day stay in Spain. The hotel's central location allows for easy walking access to various tourist attractions and shopping options. With an abundance of restaurant choices in Barcelona, you will never go hungry. Overall, our stay was satisfactory, but I would personally not choose to return here in the future.

We recently visited Barcelona on a 4-day trip and stayed at a 4-star hotel located conveniently on one of the main dual carriageways. At check-in, there seemed to be some confusion over which rooms we had booked, but it was cleared up quickly. The room was spotless and the bed was huge. Bathroom was also spacious. However, the facilities in the room were quite limited - no iron, ironing board, multiple power sockets, weak air conditioning, restricted beverage options, etc. Breakfast was decent, but vegetarians were limited to scrambled or fried eggs. The cooked meats, however, were plentiful.

Excellent accommodations in the heart of Barcelona 🗺️ with quick and easy access to the Red and Green 🚇 metro lines. Super spacious rooms 🛌 and an excellent 🤩 breakfast is available in the mornings. The staff were super pleasant 🤗 and very helpful 🤝 with any questions or requests. 😊

This accommodation is well-situated and the staff provided good service. Our non-smoking room was not as fresh as we'd have liked, and the air conditioning took a long time to properly cool the room. The bathroom was large, but not well-equipped in terms of counter space. Lines at reception could be quite long and unfortunately, calls to the desk were often not answered. Be mindful that this property can sometimes be confused with another of a similar name, so take extra care when using Uber, taxis or mapping apps.
