This hotel is conveniently located near Plaça Catalina, and just a five minute walk away if you take the aerobus from the airport. It is on a side street, but our room was still clean. We got the cosy room, and as the name implies it was a bit small, however it was fine for our four night stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They sorted out a mistake we made with our end date and spoke excellent English. Breakfast was great, with a variety of options, and the hotel is well situated in Barcelona. Highly recommended.
We stayed in a "tiny room" and it was certainly that! This little bathroom was only 3m2 and the room itself was barely bigger than the bed (1.30 wide). Fortunately, it faced onto a tranquil courtyard, so we got a great sleep. For 150 Euros a night, the room was alright: you are paying for the location, only two minutes' walk from Placa Catalunya, from where the airport buses leave. The breakfast was served in a pleasant basement room - decent buffet, plus good coffee. The staff were friendly, and the location is unbeatable - however, if you're planning a longer stay, the room is a bit too cramped.
This hotel is in a superb location at the start of Barcelona's Gothic Quarter and just moments away from Plaça de Catalunya. It has great quality for a three star, but if you opt for a room accommodating three people then be warned – the extra bed is horrendous! Two guests is more than enough for this spot, however.
This hotel had a fantastic location right off of placa catalunya and in the Barri gotic area. The staff were friendly, always providing excellent service and reception. The room provided plenty of space and all the necessary conveniences. It was also clean and tidied up every single day. The only thing that wasn't quite perfect was the soundproofing of the rooms, allowing noise from adjoining rooms and light from the corridor to seep in.
PROS: Staff was always lovely and attentive. CONS: Beds are too hard. Even though the hotel looks nice, there are still some room-related issues. The superior plus room we booked had two twin beds, but we were given a superior room with only one bed, and the toilet was in front of it. All the lights are controlled by one switch. Also, the shower doesn't have a proper drainage system, so unpleasant odours come up when not in use. We had to put a towel over the drain to avoid this. Finally, the breakfast was average and not worth the price, though there was fresh fruit. All in all, I wouldn't recommend staying here due to these issues, especially if you want a comfortable sleep.
