Colón Hotel Barcelona

Stopped off here for a late morning tipple after our tour guide recommended it the previous day! The staff were so helpful, it didn’t matter that we weren’t residents. They guided us to the rooftop on the 7th floor and to our amazement we were rewarded with stunning views of the Cathedral (we recommend going up the extra flight of stairs to the very top level!) There was a canopy covering the top level which provided a bit of shade on a very hot day - being so high up, you do get a nice breeze though! The drinks prices were very reasonable, €7 for an Estrella, €7 for a white wine and no service charge - you really got your money's worth with the views! We'll definitely be returning, perhaps to actually stay this time around.

Staying at this hotel was an amazing experience. The location was safe and convenient, located in the Gothic Quarter. Everything was first class from the lobby to the rooms. The breakfast was excellent and worth the additional cost. The staff and bellmen were incredibly friendly and accommodating, going out of their way to make sure all my needs were met. The roof top lounge was a perfect spot to enjoy a beautiful sunset cocktail!

This hotel's location in the Old Town was incredible and the accommodations were beautiful. We had a wonderful 5 night stay here! The room was cozy and comfortable, the breakfast was amazing, and the staff was so helpful. The rooftop bar was so lovely, the views of the Cathedral simply took our breath away. We would definitely stay here again!

Absolutely phenomenal stay of 4 nights before our cruise. The location is beyond belief. The rooftop bar was divine. The restaurant food was fab! The entire staff was courteous, prompt and hospitable. Maria Jesus at the restaurant was kind and detail oriented. Jean Paul, David and Khaled were very helpful and kind. Raquel, David and Manel at the front desk were so helpful. Raquel booked a private yacht for two hours sunset which was fab. The restaurants she booked for us were fantastico! The rooms were clean and spacious. Yes this is where we will stay every time!!!!.

I was really glad I decided to pay for the itruendous view of the cathedral. It was absolutely breathtaking. From the second our taxi arrived, the doorman helped us with our luggage and brought it to the reception. We had booked two rooms, but only one was prepared due to our early arrival. But that was completely understandable. The bed was so cozy and the room was beautiful. We didn't eat in, so I can't comment about the food, but we went to the rooftop bar for a few drinks and the views were incredible. The hotel is in an excellent location, with lots of shops and restaurants in the nearby area. Despite only being there for one night before our cruise, we still really enjoyed it and will definitely come back and stay here again. The price was definitely worth it.
