According to the latest Hotel Price Index from Hoteles.com, based on hotel reservations made by travelers around the world during the first half of the year, Barcelona consolidates at the top ranking among the European cities with the highest average prices in 5 star hotels, with an average of 282 euros a night per room.

On the other hand, Madrid is among the ten with a lower rate, with an average of 211 euros per night per room.

The study analyzed the average price paid in euros by Eurozone travelers for hotel rooms in different categories in the most important cities of the world during the first half of 2015. The objective of this report is to help consumers make the most of their travel budget, leading to substantial savings.
