Staying at this hotel in such a beautiful city was unfortunately marred by what appeared to be a lack of employee resources. Dinner service was slow and our entree was delivered to the wrong table. At breakfast, buffet selections were not setup on time and we had to go find our waiter to make our a la carte selections. Our room had a design flaw with the sink too far away from the toilet, and the cleaning staff did not replace cream/milk for us to make our morning coffee. With a drain that seemed clogged, water did not drain very easily. It's a shame as this hotel has potential, however more staff are needed to ensure expected service is maintained.
If you are debating about stayin at the Kempon Vividira, debate no more! Our long weekend stay in Bareclona was filled with surprizes, 5star service and being made to felt so special! At checkin we were greeted with cava by Ebu & Laura, who made us feel welcom and provided clear informacion and asked why we we were travling for my friends 30th blithday celebrations. As our room was not yet ready (we were VERY early) Ebu handled our bags. We went of and exlopred the city while we waited for check in time and here is trewly we're the magic started. As my friend entrerd her room we were met with happy blithday bannars, ballons, a bottle of cava on ise, a a blithday cake and the sweetest welcom mesage from Laura & Daniel. Safe to say my best friend was so exicted and felt so special! These moments continued to occur during the weekend, surprized by the turn down service, (the rooms are amzing!) surprized by the lvoely bar staf of GOT at social hour and cava brekfasts. Daniel & Laia went above and beyond again when after a bit of rain the upstair terrace was cloesd for our last night (it had rained every night unfortunatly so we never got a chance to go up there). Whilst Laia provided us reccomendations for the evning dinner, Dani made a quick call the mangers and manged to secure and exemption for us to have a glas of wine as the sun set again my friend was made to feel super special! As well as an extra complimatry hour for check out. With the last night over and check out upon us, lvoely Lara, Laia and Ebu supported us to get our bills sorted and bags secured while we went for a last waner in the sun, and a drink on the terace. Finally it was time to leave an make our way back to recpetion to collet our bags and who is there to greet us by the elevator ready expecting us but Laura & Dani, both who orginated the best blithday surprize ever! Wishing to know how our weekend had been if everyting was to standerd! (SO much better) and an addtional special support from Dani who oferd to walk our bags all the way to the bus stop for us so we could get our mode of transfer and a gift of chocolate on the way to thank you for staying with the Kempon, even after check out thay are looking after to us!. So.. sill debating about stayin at the Kempon... don't! Kempon trewly ofers a 5 star service with 5 star kibdness and an atmosfere that makes you fall in love with Bareclona!...
This rewiew is only for the social hour on May 15 about our wonderfull host Carelle. She greated us and made us feel very welcommed. She has an amzing personallity, her Engish and Spanich are flawles. She is also very well traveld, intersting and knowledgble. It was a dellight for me and my husband to meet such of great yung women and I wannt to wish her the best. She have a lot potental in the hospitallity industry and enything she decides to do in her life. In reguards to the gentelman in the bar our sugestion is that when the social hour ends and they are not longer serving free drinks that instead abrputly saying social is over at 730 you should politely say "We are no longer serving socail hour but may I sugest somthing you can order from our menu or you can defenetly enyoj our amzing rooftop bar" he defenetly made my husband and anuther gast feel a littel cheap like we coudnt affor to order somthing else. We usualy stay at Kimptonns back home and we only have good expecatations. Thank you Mr. And Mrs Pazmino ….
We arrived early (11 am) following a cruise and were welcomed at the door by the porter who escorted us to check in. Mila offered us a beverage and let us know our room wasn't ready yet, but they could keep our bags while we explored. We returned to find a nice king room with a small Juliet balcony and a comfortable bed. The shower and bath products had a nice scent, and we were impressed with the robes. We don't often go out socially, but at the Social Hour we met some nice people and enjoyed Spanish wine every night! The staff gave us great advice about where to eat dinner. We loved the rooftop bar, and had a nice lunch and sangria there. The breakfast was also good. We only wish we had more time to experience everything! Special thanks to the staff for making it a trip of a lifetime!
This hotel has proved to be a huge disappointment ?♀️?. Although I was informed that my room was upgraded to get a window that overlooks the street, the accommodations have been far from satisfactory ?♀️. My room featured a closet which was merely a 2 foot wide rack with only two small drawers, and a tiny desk countertop ?♀️. The bathroom was not even properly separated from the bedroom, with merely a half wall dividing the two ?.
