Hotel Neri – Relais & Chateaux

Incredible accommodations and an incredible staff focused on pleasing visitors. The rooms were comfortable and practical. A lavish and delicious breakfast was included in the cost. I will be back when I return to Barcelona.

A 🤩 truly royal experience! 🤩 The staff was amazing – so friendly and accommodating. 🤗 Not to mention the incredible 🤩 location – just within reach from a historical sight and the hotel having gone to great lengths to preserve its rich heritage. 🥰 Breakfast was delicious, too – each morning, just waiting with fresh pastries and coffee. 🤤 The rooms were fabulous – high ceilings, expansive windows and modern and spacious bathrooms. 🤩 Simply extraordinary!

We immediately regretted leaving this hotel to stay at another Amex Fine Hotels property in Barcelona, in search of a little variety. This boutique hotel offers a calming, tranquil environment off a lovely, quiet square in the heart of the Gothic Quarter. It's very small, so never feels busy or crowded and the staff has time to get to know their guests. The rooms are inviting and well thought-out, and include strange but charming handmade bath products. Breakfast is excellent and huge. The air conditioner could get the room even too cold, a nice feature not found in many other European hotels that seem to struggle when it gets seriously hot. It can be a little difficult to find via a cab, but you’re able to have cars called directly to the door when you’re ready to leave. A special shout out to the bell staff who went above and beyond not only to show us our room and describe the area to us, but also who carried our luggage down to the square when a taxi wasn’t available due to construction.….

We arrived late after a long flight and tiring journey, but George, the night attendant, welcomed us - having provided us with some wonderful cava to soothe our nerves. He showed us to our nicely appointed apartment with full cooking facilities. The next morning, the included breakfast confirmed we had come to the right place. What's more, the amazing nearby market provided the perfect chance to stock up on fresh produce and fish with which to cook ourselves a delicious meal. Thanks to Julian, who acted almost like a concierge, Dottie was not alone on the trip but received his invaluable help in selecting the best ingredients. In the end, it was the care of the staff that made this hotel a place we will come back to whenever we are in Barcelona. JJ & Dottie

We had a truly wonderful experience at this hotel. Coordinating airport transfers was an easy process, and the service we received was outstanding. Our room was quiet and spacious, even though it overlooked a school courtyard. The hotel's location in the Gothic area was perfect and allowed us to explore the city by foot. On day 5 we rented a car, and the hotel staff were very accommodating with parking, with one of the morning attendants even helping us carry our luggage directly to the car in the garage. A wonderful stay overall!
