I decided to stay at this hotel because it was the most budget-friendly option in this insanely expensive city. The price for one night was around 170€ and that didn't even include breakfast. 😒 The best thing about this place was its prime location, right on Las Ramblas and Plaza Cataluna. However, the building itself is quite old. 😬 My room was incredibly tiny (not ideal if you have two suitcases) but it did have a small balcony with a view of Las Ramblas. The bathroom was also very small. 😕 I skipped the breakfast because there are countless other options nearby. Overall, the only reasons to book this hotel are the location and price (nothing else).
The hotel's location was unbeatable - just a stone's throw from Placa de Catalunya where the Aerobus from the airport stops, and situated on La Rambla, the bustling thoroughfare that connects the city to the sea. Our stay was made even more enjoyable by the friendly and helpful staff, and the reasonably priced breakfast option for €10. We were able to take advantage of the secure luggage room to store our bags before check-in and after check-out, allowing us to make the most of our time in the city. Despite facing La Rambla, our room was surprisingly quiet. Overall, we stumbled upon a gem and highly recommend it.
This hotel was in a fantastic location 🗺️ with pleasant staff 🤗 and wonderful air conditioning 💨. Offering great value for money 💰, I had a peaceful twin room in the back of the building 🏢 which was perfect for a good night's rest. Barcelona was especially hot 🥵, yet the air conditioning worked like a charm 👌. The desk staff were so helpful 🤝, plus the elevators made it easier to get my suitcase around with ease 😎.
The location of this hotel was perfect for exploring the city's sights. The air conditioning was great and our room was clean. However, the room was on the small side and the bathroom was even more cramped. The decor was quite dated and in need of a refurbishment and there was a strong smell coming from the bathroom. Although it provides good value for money, I personally wouldn't stay here again.
My experience at this accommodation was far from satisfactory. Rooms were diminutive and the flooring inside and hallways sloped. In-room amenities were limited with only paper cups being present - no facility for tea or coffee. For the price paid, breakfast was exceedingly basic. Despite making numerous complaints, the air conditioning in my space could not be resolved until the fourth night of my stay, leaving me no other choice but to leave the balcony door open to avoid heat exhaustion. Some of the receptionists were not too helpful, with one refusing to book a taxi for me as they were supposedly 'too busy'. Another actually walked away when I spoke about the AC issue. The only positive was the location, which was the only nice thing about this establishment. All in all, a very underwhelming stay.
