My experience was less than satisfactory and began with an unexpectedly large fee for checking in early. This place does not deserve 4 stars; I'd rate it 3. The beds were uncomfortable and the room was noisy due to poor soundproofing. The hotel's surroundings were not the most desirable, with nothing of note in the vicinity. The cost of the room was disproportionate to what other hotels in Barcelona have to offer. I would not recommend this place.
I was really let down by my stay 🤦♂️. Despite having 4 stars, soundproofing was definitely lacking and we could hear music/doors slamming/other guests talking all night long 😩. The shower was unclean and the toilet was constantly refilling/emptying itself 🤢. The fixtures in the bathroom were damaged and you could see the grime/rust underneath 😵. Our room had the "luxury" of an 'internal courtyard' which was basically just a storage area. And that meant our "window" faced the corridor, which was lit with bright lights and the damaged curtains failed miserably in keeping the light out 😩😩😩.
Location of this hotel is very good as it is 10 minutes walking distance to La Sagrada Familia and Arc De Triomf. It is also very close to most of the popular tourist destinations within the city center, also close to metro and bus stations. Within the 3 days we stayed here; we only needed transportation to go Parc Güell, the beach, Nou Camp and Parc de Montjuic. As for the room; the size and bed size was good. The bathroom was big enough to have both a bathtube and a seperate shower. They do daily cleaning of rooms. Clean towells, and several mecessities were provided free of charge. I wish they would also provide slippers. Reception and other staff were extremely helpful. Many thanks to all of them. Finally, breakfast is a big plus. This hotel's breakfast is better than most of the other hotels in the same caliber.
This really nice accommodation is in an ideal spot to discover the city – just a 20 minute walk to Sagrada Familia, a 15 minute stroll to Plaça de Catalunya and Ramblas and 10 minutes from Arc de Triomphe. It boasts a modern and tidy design, and our 5th floor room was peaceful and had a lovely view. The room was of a decent size for a city center hotel and the bed was alright (although I found it a little hard and the mattress protector was noisy when you moved!). The bathroom was quite large with a really nice shower. The room had a fridge, safe, TV, tea kettle, iron and ironing board, and the WiFi was really good and fast. The air conditioning wasn't the best (which may be due to the new regulations regarding aircon in Spain). When we were there the temperatures were in the low 20s and the room was pretty warm, even when we adjusted the air con to its coldest setting. The only solution was to open the window, and this brought the temperature down. The rate was much cheaper than most other hotels in the city. We got breakfast for free (hint: book directly and sign up to the newsletter to get free breakfast) but I don't think I'd pay for it. The food was okay but there are a lot of cheaper cafes and bakeries nearby. We had no complaints and would definitely stay again if we were to visit Barcelona, and would highly recommend it.
This accommodation was spotless and the personnel were really approachable and welcoming. Because of its position, some of Barcelona's most famous landmarks can be reached by a short walk, and there are also multiple transport links available for getting to others. I was thoroughly impressed with the value for money. The bathroom was roomy but the decoration in the bedroom could do with updating. If I were to return to this city, I would stay here again.
