Clean and modern, this accommodation provides excellent blackout shutters, a refrigerator, AC, and a room safe. Its excellent central location in the area popular with tourists makes it a great choice. Numerous restaurants are nearby, but be aware of tourist traps. A quick 10-minute bus ride north or south can save you money on groceries as well as provide some delicious finds to chill in your own refrigerator. It's a mere one-minute walk to the Metro station, with bus stops right in front of the hotel. Given the chaotic traffic in the area and pedestrian-only centre of La Rambla, it may be best to avoid renting a car. For those wanting to store luggage after check-out or arrive before check-in, this hotel provides lockers for a fee of 2 Euros. It's also close to the port, making it a popular choice for cruisers.
We experienced a not-so-warm welcome at check-in, the "Courtyard View" turned out to be less than expected 😞, and the bathroom was not the safest 😱. We did appreciate the cleanliness 🧼, the comfy beds 🛌, and the excellent air con 🌬️.🤩 Despite the few downsides, the hotel was in a great spot! 📍
I recently stayed at a hotel in Barcelona and was extremely unhappy and uncomfortable. After numerous attempts to communicate with the manager I was informed they would not be in until Wednesday. On top of this, I was diagnosed with plantar fasciitis. When asking for ice to help with the pain I was met with an argumentative response from the desk, despite being informed it was provided the night before. When I said I have travelled to 110 countries and have never had this issue I was still met with resistance. On Saturday morning I went downstairs to speak with the manager but again was told they wouldn't be in until Monday. Once I was in the shower the water wouldn't drain and the bathroom flooded, which is particularly dangerous for my age. I notified the desk but hadn't heard back until I checked out. This is only the second time I have complained about a hotel experience and I am disappointed that I didn't get the chance to speak with the manager.
perfect for a young couple or family get away.
Staying at the Arc La Rambla hotel in Barcelona was an amazing experience. The hotel is conveniently located in the heart of La Rambla and is easy to reach from the airport. We also hired an excellent driver to take us to and from the airport and on a day trip to Montserrat - more information about him is available if you need it. Check-in was easy and they offer a locker service for your luggage if your room isn't ready. The hotel has a large, interesting layout with 3 elevators at different parts of the building. There's also access to a great rooftop that gives you a chance to relax and unwind away from the action. The only downside to the hotel is that the keys would go blank every day due to the magnetism of our iWatches but resetting them was simple. All in all, this place is perfect for a young couple or family get-away.
This hotel and its location are both really great, but the customer service provided at the front desk left something to be desired. Being made to wait for more than 20 minutes before I could even get an acknowledgement from Leo was really off-putting, and his attitude when I finally did get his attention made it worse. He seemed to be more focused on helping other guests, and he was quite condescending when I asked if I could return later. It wasn't very considerate, especially when considering elderly or mobility challenged guests who may need help. When I tried to explain why I was unhappy, he didn't listen and kept cutting me off to say he had a lot of work to do. It was quite disheartening.
