Hostal Rambla

You won't be disappointed if you stay at this hotel. The staff is friendly and helpful, the rooms and facilities stay clean, and it's situated on a great street with lots of shops. Additionally, across the street there's a great restaurant, El Fogon de Sant Boi, that's worth checking out.

I spent a few nights at this hostel and I can say it was wonderful. The location is perfect, close to the bus and train station and lots of local restaurants. The staff were friendly and accommodating, giving us a great deal for our last two nights despite us arriving after their check-in time. The hostel was clean, modern and had amazing value for money. There were some language barriers, as most menus were in Spanish or Catalan, so having a translation app would be useful. I had an excellent stay and I would happily return in the future.

I stayed at Hostal Rambla and had an excellent stay - the rooms were modern, clean and neat. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, making me feel right at home. The location was also great, a short walk to the transport, and surrounded by local facilities, bars and restaurants. It was an amazing price, and really good value for money, delivered excellent service. This is the perfect place for a short stay in Barcelona and I would highly recommend it.

If you emerge on a Sunday morning be prepared for a religious ritual with loudspeakers being played in the square.

Required accommodation for 1 night close to the airport. As a lone female traveller, I looked for an inexpensive, safe place accessible by public transport. Hostal Rambla was the perfect choice! Bus L77 from the airport (you may have to flag it down – the first one sailed past me!) dropped me off by the train station. Cross the road, turn left into the square, and the hostal was on one of the corners of the square. I was very impressed by the standard of the accommodation - it was immaculate and had all the mod cons. The proprietor was friendly, and even though I don't speak Spanish, we were still able to communicate. He even gave me his personal mobile number in case of any emergencies. Food isn't provided by the hostal, however, there are numerous bars and restaurants close by. One thing to watch out for, though – if you come out on a Sunday morning, there will be a religious ritual taking place in the square, with loudspeakers being played!
