Does the Sagrada Familia celebrate masses?
Yes, the Sagrada Familia celebrates a mass every Sunday morning at 9 am. It is an international mass because the service, which lasts one hour, is held in several languages.
- Admission is free, but seating is limited. Therefore, it is advisable to come to the entrance of the Basilica - front of the Nativity (Carrer de la Marina) - from 8:30 a.m., until the capacity is reached.
- The Archdiocese of Barcelona asks visitors to dress appropriately for the worship and to behave in a respectful manner.
- Throughout the year, the Sagrada Familia hosts extraordinary masses such as for Christmas and other religious holidays.
- For some of these masses, admission is by invitation only.
- Dates and times: Consult the mass calendar to find out more about the extraordinary masses.
- Finally, some masses are broadcast live online.
