Mingus a true local tapas bar

Mingus Bar is what should be all the tapas bars of Barcelona: a bar of buddies with good products.
One thus comes there for his great choice of draught beers, of local wines and of excellent tapas. The gourmets will tell you that meatballs and the Russian salad are of first-rate.
One also comes there rememberring that Charlie Mingus and its Quintet where in Sitges on July 16, 1977 for a concert which marked its time and certainly the owner of this bar. People of the district them come there as often as they can, a ritual in Barcelona and inevitably for every football night.

An oasis of peace in Barcelona
Monasteri Sant Pau del Camp is an oasis of peace in Barcelona, a marvellous little cloister (look for the frog at the foot of one of the original pillars). You are transported back in time in this little monastery of El Raval which once stood in the fields outside the walls of Barcelona, hence its name ... one of the wonders of Barcelona.

great local market
Covered market. Very pleasant with the smell of flowers at the entrance. There are tables and chairs in the aisles so you can eat there. Coffee and potato tortillas available.

Best interior shop of Barcelona
I came across the most incredible store i have seen in a long time and I have been living im Barcelona for over 20 years. It’s called Pachulí Interior & Lifestyle and is situated in El Born. It’s a bit hidden which is a shame cause I think everyone should experience this authenticity and unique place. Just go and check it out already!!

free and it's well worth a visit.
A fine venue for free photo exhibitions on La Rambla, in a peaceful setting away from the hustle and bustle of this grand avenue. Whether you're a photography enthusiast or an amateur, it's well worth a visit.

simple and cool to visit
As I only had a day to visit, it was a simple and efficient way. Great air-conditioning on the lower floor of the bus. Well-organised and friendly welcome.

for the Gaudi buildings
For the Gaudi buildings but not for the shopping... very nice shops like everywhere else in the world, no interest.

impressed by this brilliant creator
As I learned more about Antoni Gaudí's life while visiting his works, I was deeply impressed by his devotion to architecture and his unique artistic vision. He was a passionate man who devoted his life to creating extraordinary buildings.
