La Sedici
La Sedici, sybarite pizzas in the Barrio de Gracia.
In a small place in the heart of the neighborhood of Gracia, the Plaza del Sol, we find La Sedici. As we enter, we will see the counter and the workman. Everything in sight. There, the ovens are prepared to cook their specialty: pizza.
Some special and unique pizzas: first by its measure: 16 centimeters. They are smaller than usual, but they are exquisite snacks that allow to make a tasting of its different . We will also find focaccias and some other cooked dishes that will depend on the ingredients they have found in the market.
La Sedici follows a philosophy that proves that pizza can be a gourmet dish. The dough is homemade, they make a unique flour mixing, including integral and multi-cereal, with fresh yeast. This is perceived from the first bite.
But it does not end here, since in addition to the dough, the ingredients used are always fresh, seasonal and ecological, and when possible of Italian origin. All this mixed is done with the wisdom of Luciano Passeri, world champion pizza man for three times on classic pizzas. From him they have learned the best secrets and put them into practice in La Sedici.
We could say that this is an assured success, but in the end, what will really make La Sedici a place to eat one of the best pizzas in Barcelona is that these are simply good.
In its menu there is a good variety of choices, from traditional ones, such as La Marghe (La Margarita), the simplest and best known of the pizzas. But if you feel like trying something different, it is best to look at its Gourmet section, where you can appreciate the creativity of the team. At this time, we can find "La Tartufo" taking advantage of the truffle season. Vegans will also always find an elaboration for them in which the vegetable will be the protagonist, either as focaccia or as conventional pasta. Even the sweet tooth can have dessert. Do not forget to try your Nutella pizza !.
The pizzas have a price that is a temptation to eat one at any time. They range between 1.90 Euros (La Marghe) and 3.50 gourmets. No doubt it will be hard to resist.
If you pass by the Plaza del Sol in summer you may see groups sitting inthe center of the square tasting their pizzas. The size makes them ideal to be able to eat without needing cutlery. If enjoying Barcelona's nightlife, this is a good choice, whether on the street or at your house.
