Fast and Slow
There was the famous Bicnic food truck in the streets of Barcelona, now there is also the Bicnic restaurant. Chef Víctor Ferrer couldn't find a better location not far from the Passeig de St Joan, the neighbourhood we enjoy every day a little more.
New place and new concept for this confirmed chef and amateur of bistronomie, Bicnic boasts an innovative positioning to be both "fast" and "slow" at the same time.
One enters Bicnic by the "fast" part, for fast food. A cuisine made of salads, sandwiches, burgers, soups and some hot dishes. One can let oneself be tempted without hesitation by a Caesar salad at 9.9€, a tuna ceviche at 14.5€ or by the signature dish "Tostada de Tartar" a tartar of beef and eel on a delicious toast (10.8€): a real treat! One can take away all these dishes which offers a kind of third position for this place: a take away.
To settle in the "slow" space, you have to go further in the restaurant, a room with a more organic decor and a green dominance. Here the cuisine will be deliberately bistronomie oriented with a real know-how. Just like these steamed hulls, aniseed, ginger and sake (13.9€), this tuna loin with -oursin, sweet potato and avocado cream - (19.5€) or even this grandiose Lamb of milk with - pistachios, pears, smoked eggplant cream, sour sauce and pesto with mint and arugula - (16.9€).
We understand that here we take our time to taste amazing and incredibly flavorsome dishes. We can only salute this very beautiful double idea, doubly successful!
