Vermut García
The traditions as they are liked!
Opened in May 2017 in the trendy district of Eixample Esquerra, Vermut García is already part of the essential places for vermouth and tapas amateurs. The tradition in Barcelona is to "anar a fer el vermut" - going out to make vermut, that is to go out with friends to drink vermouth and eat tapas or local snacks.
At Vermut García the tradition is more than respected with a splendid choice of snacks of a rare quality, where all the products come from the market or even better, from the most famous producers of Spain. One thinks in particular of the « bombas, lagartos y cohetes » (olives and pickles with anchovies, tuna, Jabugo...) which arrives directly from the Market Villa of Vallecas of Madrid.
The list of these snack is long and appetizing and especially not expensive: 3 or 4 euros for a small selection of olives, chips and mussels for example. Thursday after work, as from 18:00, for each drink a “Bomba de Vallekas” is offered.
A good manner to discover how to “make vermut” in a very typical bar.
