El Vermut del Pulitzer
Delicious Winter vermouth
One of the nice places to enjoy a weekend morning would be in the Hotel Pulitzer terrace in Barcelona. Usually, in summer, hotels open the terraces at night, but they are closed on winters. In this case, the Pulitzer Hotel terrace offers an attractive a nice alternative to continue enjoying a nice breeze overlooking the city, even on winter. It’s called the “El Vermut del Pulitzer”.
A conditioned terrace prepared for winter. On a sunny day and at normal Barcelona winter temperature, it is nice to relax and have a nice vermouth at noon. Vermouth time in Catalonia, a longtime tradition, is usually around noon. You will also have some little tapas before lunch.
On the Pulitzer terrace, we will find all classical tapas. Ensaladilla rusa (3,5€), patatas bravas or “bravotas” as they call them (4€) or the boquerones in vinegar (3,5€). They also offer gourmet sandwiches, including a nice hamburger, different snacks or a good jamón. It is also nice to stay after the vermouth, and complete the morning with a full lunch on the same terrace, since it opens until 16 h.
The vermouth mornings are accompanied with a DJ. The music is at background and allows you to maintain a conversation with no loud music. They also offer games for children, becoming a nice place for families. For the little ones, they have a combination called “El Vermutet”, which includes potato chips, olives and a juice or refreshment.
The entry is free, and you do not need to be lodged at the hotel located in the city centre of Barcelona. The vermouth is offered all Saturday and Sundays until April and music can be consulted at Pulitzermusic.com
