What to expect

Declared a UNESCO World Heritage site in 2005, the Sagrada Família attracts, not without reason, millions of visitors every year. Its towers rise over the surrounding buildings and have made this unparalleled church Barcelona’s unmistakeable icon.

Begun in 1882, Gaudí took over the construction of the originally Gothic church only a few years later and made it his sole project for the last 12 years of his life. Many of his detailed plans and drawings are on display today in the basilica’s visitor centre, Gaudí’s former workshop, and document the construction of the Sagrada Família. At present, the completion of the basilica is intended for 2026, the 100th anniversary of Gaudí’s death.

Experience the Sagrada Família and its exceptional architecture on an audio-guided visit, which doesn’t only explain the obvious but also gives you a glimpse of Gaudí’s vision and architectural genius. Discover the close connection between functionality and aesthetics, ever-present in Gaudí’s work, and simply enjoy the sheer beauty of this building.

How does it work?

When you book your entrance ticket, please select the date and approximate time you would like to visit. We will reserve your ticket within the chosen timeframe, depending on availability, and inform you about your exact time of entrance. The timeslot only fixes the time you enter the building. Once inside, you can stay as long as you want.

Together with the confirmation you’ll receive a download link to our Mobile App and step-by-step instructions for its installation and use (supports iPhone and Android). Alternatively you can choose the traditional audio guide, available on site and also included in the ticket price.
