Pla is a place where you can have a drink as well as having dinner. Very nice ambience and a good creative cooking. What is particular of this place is the inspiration of the menu: a tasty travel along the Mediterranean coast, a mix of many cultures. Oriental, Greek, Italian, Spanish you'll taste of those flavours. Try salads, curries, sushi, and pastas... Fun for the taste buds, nice for the eyes, ok for the music.

This is definitely THE best restaurant I visited. The mood, food and service is excellent. This restaurant is about romantic atmosphere and not about frills. A must-go.

pla in barcelona came so highly recommended that it was to be the highlight of our visit to barcelona. until we ate there, we had had splendid meals every night, and this one was the worst meal we had, not only during our stay in spain, but perhaps in the annals of fine dining all over the world. the chicken was raw, the sauce gooey and inedible, the strawberry gazpacho tasted turned, and the salmon was not fresh. the service, while lovely folks, was terribly disorganized, and the bread was stale! all in all quite horrible for such a highly recommended establishment. i told the waitress i had to be honest about it, and she said perhaps i wasn't used to catalan cuisine. i lived there for many many years, and indeed am more than routinely familiar with the cuisine of that region. this was on the level of an applebees in the united states. maybe not even that good. barcelona has splendid restaurants, but this isn't one of them. don't go. unless you want to eat kangaroo steaks which were dreadful, or raw chicken, or...this is a sorry excuse for fine dining!

This has to be one of the best restaurants I've ever eaten in - and I have been to a lot of restaurants over the years.

I had a main course of deer with blueberry & orange sauce & truffled potatoes - the smell as my plate was brought toward the table was incredible, and every mouthful produced those 'apreciation noises' that only excellent cuisine can engender. A truly food-orgasmic experience.

Superb wine and a wonderful atmosphere too - with moody & romantic decor & lovely staff - including the fantasticly camp & delightful maitre d' / head waiter sashaying across the floor & vogue-ing his way around the tables.

A return visit is a must!
Fab!

I have to agree with the other reviews, this is one of the best restaurants i've ever been to. Stumbled upon it accidently and hadnt booked so very lucky to get a table. The service is perfection, very friendly, attentive yet unobtrusive. Food fabulous, wine fabulous. Lovely buzz around the place which is hard to put your finger on.Make sure you go.

This is, in my opinion, the best restaurant in the world! I had the best meal of my life in this place - the food, service, place, atmosphere.. everything is out of this world. If you go to Barcelona you HAVE to eat here!!

this is easily the best restaurant I've ever eaten at ...every dish was superb, the wine was out of this world, service was terrific (friendly - helped pick dishes/wine etc) & the ambience is very relaxed (nice decor as well)...when you've finished here go to a cocktail bar around the corner called Orange (also superb)....enjoy
