Els Pescadors - Barcelona

We believe that " Els Pescadors" is one of the finest fish restaurants in Barcelona. Located quite far from the center, in Poble Nou, it worth go there. First for the place on a little square with trees, very pleasant. Then for the dishes, mostly fishes, every plate is a delight try: calamares, gambas, arroz, Suquet dels pescadors, Angler fish fricandó, Tuna with pickled Figueres onions, Hake with romesco bread and leek mousseline sauce...A great contemporary cooking.. Perfect to invite your best friends.

This was a most disappointing experience - the food was bland and uninteresting - not value for money considering the price.I dined at a different restaurant each night for a week in Barcelona and I would say this is one restaurant I will not be going back to.Other places were better value and far tastier food.The waiters were attentive but that is the only positive note I came away with.

We found this restaurant highly overrated, high prices, arrogant maitre d' , poor quality and unimaginative food. Five of us, from London, Singapore and Hong Kong visited this restaurant last week and were shocked at the high cost and low qulaity of the fare. We were all amazed that it has such good reviews whne we visited a number of other retsaurants in the city during the week, all of which were much, much better.
