Catalan National Art Museum (MNAC) is housed in the magnificent palace overlooking the fountains of Montjuic. You will found there Catalan works of Romanesque, Gothic and Renaissance arts from 11th to 18th century. Very interesting museum even though quite long to visit.

thank you for the link to MNAC's website, this superb european treasure house is well represented by the generous web site. The spiritual experience of the Romanesque collection, and the stunning theatricality of it's presentation by Aulente, make this the perfect counerpoint to Barcelona's contemporary vibrancy. (and the view from the front door takes in the whole city!)
