Roses is history and tourism at the same time. It stands on the site of Rhode, a Greek colony of the 9th Century. It has an excellent natural harbour where tourist development has been extraordinarily fast, based, to be sure, on the 4km beach of fine sand and the large size of the area, which includes a beautiful promenade today, a huge marina and many possibilities for entertainment.
