Editor's choice : Cambrils - Town
Cambrils is a world apart from frantic Salou. Parts of the town are still very Spanish in character with narrow, cobbled streets, ancient buildings and typical tapas bars. The resort retains all the charm of a small fishing village and boasts some world-class seafood restaurants. Sit by the quayside with a pre-dinner drink in the early evening and you'll be able to watch the day's catch being landed.
Cambrils is the perfect place for those of you who want to spend some quite days relaxing on the beach; this town has 9 km of sandy beaches for all you sea lovers!!
One can now walk from Cambrils in this almost perfect sea side walking path of few kilometres long which now connect until "Salou´s fuente luminosa", and never loose sight of the sea.
A wonderful place for people who enjoy walking
Editor's choice : Mont-roig del Camp - Town
Mont-roig del Camp. 10 Km from Cambrils, is an agricultural town in which the famous Catalonia's painter "Joan Miró" spent many of his childhood years.
The church of St. Miguel is of gothic style, the construction works began in 1574.
Mont-roig is very close to places like "Riudecanyes" (with the Riudecanyes swamp), and the fantastic "monastery of Escornalbou", another fantastic route you may want to do.
Editor's choice : Ametlla de Mar - Town
Another fantastic village well worth a visit is on the other side of the county, on the Mediterranean side and it's called " L'Ametlla de Mar", nowadays it is still a fisherman's village that has grown enormously in the last few years thanks to the huge tourist growth.
Close to L'Ametlla de Mar, we can find L'Hospitalet de l'Infant. In 1346, L'Hospitalet de l'Infant was born thanks to Peter IV, and his mother Blanca d'Anjou who founded the old hospital which bore the name.
To the south of Hospitalet de l´infant is the Naturist Beach of TORN. This beach is a paradise for the European families who are looking for peace and quiet, contact with nature and who want a high degree of comfort without being bothered in any way.
