Romesco

Romesco was long-time favourite for the intellectual people living in Barcelona. Spanish and Catalan cooking.

 

Today still one the favourite traditional restuarants for local people.

You should leave the traditional circuit of restaurants and try this one.

The Romesco is still going strong. The address shown here is incorrect. It is actually situated on the Arc de Sant Agustí. Walk down Carrer Sant Pau to the Hotel España, look to your right and you will see a small street leading up to the Plaça Sant Agustí. Romesco is just there on the left. Great value and has been faithful to its clientele for nearly 30 years now!

Nous avons cherché ce lieu apparemment mythique sans succès. Nous n'avons trouvé qu'une vitrine incendiée... Peut-être nous sommes nous trompé, j'espère bien pour ce haut lieu de Barcelone...

Para mí y muchos de mis amigos (incluidos extranjeros) el Romesco es una de las joyas del Raval y por extenso de Barcelona. No se puede conocer Barcelona si no se ha comido en el Romesco. Todos los platos son excelentes, frescos y hechos al instante. El plato rey de la casa son los frijoles. La cocina está a vista y el ambiente es único.
Imperdible (pero no lo digais mucho que se nos puede estropear este último rincón de paraiso del Raval)

non si può non mangiare da Romesco se si và a Barcellona!!
Ospitali, bravissimi cuochi e veramente economici!!!
La vera trattoria che manca in molte città!! Noi siamo state fortunate a trovarlo e abbiamo mangiato lì la maggior parte delle volte! Altro che gli altri ristoranti "di lusso"!!
Posto accogliente, pulitissimo e.... cucina a vista!
Favoloso!!

Romesco sin duda para probar... y tranquilos por los comentarios "alarmistas": el Raval ya es un parque juegos, no hay riesgo de ningun tipo...

Ottima trattoria, sita in un quartiere da starci un po' attenti. Ottimi il pesce e la carne .... il servizio è più che dignitoso, il conto più che economico ...
Il menu del giorno è da provare!

This just has to be the VERY best value in Barcelona!
The food is superb, unbelievably cheap,and the owner and staff are real characters.
The place just buzzes and it is always our first port of call when we arrive in the city.
TRY THE FRIJOLES!!!
